The FreshWater Watch kayakers who are paddling from England to the Black Sea were on BBC Radio Oxford morning show on Wednesday. They talk about why they’re taking on the four month challenge, how they met, raising money for Pancreatic Cancer Action and why they’re doing FreshWater Watch as well!
You can hear them from 1:08:44 here.
Anna and Kate are aiming to paddle 4,000 km from England to the Black Sea through 13 countries and four capital cities. They will be taking a trusty FreshWater Watch kit with them as well and collecting water samples in places we've never studied before. It will be fascinating to see water quality in these locations and you will be able to explore it all on the data map.
They're already well on their way to their fundraising target for Pancreatic Cancer Action, and you can find out more about their challenge here.
